PERFORMANCE AGREEMENT - NUTCRACKER 2025

Join Metropolitan Ballet in performing the full traditional Nutcracker on December 12-13 at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul and December 19-20 at the Hopkins Auditorium in Minnetonka! Five performances at two theaters. Performance times at the Fitzgerald will be at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Saturday the 12th and 2:00 pm on Sunday there 13th. Performance times at Hopkins will be 7:00 pm on Saturday the 19th and 2:00 pm on Sunday the 20th. These two performances will feature the Kenwood Symphony Orchestra.

All currently enrolled Metropolitan Ballet dancers are invited to participate! Casting will be set by the Artistic Director based on ability and skill level. If you are not currently training with us please contact us to audition.

commitments AND FEES

REHEARSALS: Dancers age 14+ must attend rehearsals on all Saturdays (10:30-4:00 pm) and Sundays (12:00-6:00 pm) beginning November 7 through December 6 at the studio. Youth Division dancers (ages 5+) rehearse on Sundays from 4:00-6:00 pm beginning November 3. Some youth dancers may have additional times for rehearsal. Note that we may need to slightly alter this schedule as we get close to the production.

THEATER WEEK 1: Mandatory full cast studio rehearsals for all dancers will be held on Sunday, December 6 from 12:00-6:00 pm, and Wednesday and Thursday December 9 and 10, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Mandatory Full Cast theater rehearsal in St. Paul will be held on Friday, December 11 from 4:30-9:30 pm. Youth Division dancers will be excused at 8:30 pm for all evening studio and theater rehearsals.

THEATER WEEK 2: Mandatory cast studio rehearsals for all dancers will be held on Thursday, December 17, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Mandatory full Cast theater rehearsal in Minnetonka will be held on Friday, December 18 from 4:30-9:30 pm. Youth Division dancers will be excused at 8:30 pm.

A cast party for all dancers and families will celebrate our performances on December 20, starting at approximately 7:00 pm.

PARTICIPATION FEES: Participation fees are due at the start of rehearsal. You may pay online using the link below or pay in the studio with cash or check. There are no service fees added to electronic payments. Participation fees include, rehearsals and artistic coaching, costume usage, and theater/ production costs.

    **IMPORTANT ** Participation in the production requires a commitment from all dancers. Dancers may only miss up to two rehearsals. Requests to be excused from a rehearsal for any reason must be made on the registration form below. Dancers who miss more than two rehearsals may be offered a different role in the production. If you know you will miss more than two rehearsals but would still like to participate, please indicate this on the form below.
